DVD Filming Projects

Our DVD business is geared to fulfilling a wide range of projects, from single-handed documentary sequences, through directed shoots on location to live multi-camera editing. Examples of some of these projects can be found on our client page.
With most projects handled entirely by our experienced in-house team, our overheads are kept to a minimum enabling us to quote competitively without impinging on quality.

Digital

Digital Technology:

Modern digital technology has not only been applied to the video editing of programmes by computer but also in the way material is recorded and duplicated. Ours and other DVD replication services depend on the recorded "digits" to enable exact replicas to be made both for editing and copying. However for any video production company the quality of the final DVD production will initially depend on the standard of filming equipment and the skill of the camera operators.

Digital Recording:

Missing Link owns digital camera sets producing true wide screen images for corporate films and videos. These are High Definition capable ready for the new generation of LCD and plasma television screens. Additional specialist equipment such as hoists and tracks are hired in only when required keeping our overheads and consequent prices low. Lighting and sound facilities are also part of our standard kit.

The technology for capturing the moving image has changed dramatically in the last 50 years including:

• Celluloid

• Magnetic tape

• Digital laser discs

• Hard drives

Missing Link now records many projects straight to hard drive for electronic transfer to our edit suites. Not only is this process faster it also reduces the risk of those occasional digital glitches that can occur when using tape formats.
